It is crucial that you find a therapist that is a good fit for you. I bring deep respect, personal warmth, strong clinical experience, insight and humor to my practice. I create a safe, non-judgmental and calming space to pave the way for you reaching your fullest potential.
I am a psychotherapist with experience providing guidance and therapeutic services to individuals (infancy to elderly), couples, and families with a wide array of conditions. My specialized work includes depression and anxiety, grief and loss, coping will chronic or terminal illness, life transitions, relationship struggles, domestic abuse and sexual trauma. Prior to private practice, I gained experience in community mental health, early intervention, hospital-based social work and independent counseling practices.
I work and listen emphatically – blending keen mindfulness with psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral approaches – to create a safe and open experience for each client. I also work from an acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) background. I utilize a strengths-based approach to assist individuals in gaining insight and creating positive, meaningful growth.
I earned a Bachelors of Science in Rehabilitation Psychology from University of Wisconsin-Madison and received a Masters of Social Work from Loyola University-Chicago.
When I am not working, I love to spend time with my family, friends and my 100 pound dog, Bauer.
